As prices of food article including vegetables, eased, the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) fell to 2.60 percent in September as compared to 3.24 percent in August 2017 which was four-month high. The WPI in September 2016 was 1.36 percent. Keeping 2011-12=100 as a base, the Wholesale Price Index for All Commodities for the month of September 2017 declined by 0.4 percent to 114.3 from 114.8 for the previous month.
