Last month, the NIA released the photographs and details of Taha, 30, and Shazib and also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for each of them. “Shazib is the accused who placed the IED at the café and Taha is the mastermind behind the planning and execution of the blast and the subsequent evasion from the clutches of law,” the spokesperson said.
Muzammil Shareef was picked up and placed in custody as a co-conspirator after NIA teams cracked down at 18 locations, including 12 in Karnataka, 5 in Tamil Nadu and one in Uttar Pradesh, the agency said in the statement.
The suspect, identified as Mohammad Shabbir, was held in Bellary district of Karnataka. Currently, authorities are conducting an interrogation to gather crucial information from him regarding the blast.
