In a scathing attack on China, India slammed the country for indulging in "petty geopolitical interests" after it blocked India and US’s joint proposal to list Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Sajid Mir as a global terrorist.
Beijing rejected the US-India sponsored motion to name Sajid Mir as a global terrorist and subject him to asset freeze, travel restrictions, and a weapons embargo under the 1267 Al Qaeda Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council clearly exposing its Terrorist supportive image.
"My aim was to expose and show the real face of Pakistan on global platforms through the prosecution of 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab," said the special public prosecutor and Padmashri awardee Ujjwal Nikam who handled the case of Ajmal Kasab.

Sajid Mir is a top Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) Commander and is in charge of the "India Setup" of LeT as well as he is one of the masterminds of the Mumbai Terror Attack.
The arrest of Sajid Mir comes at a time when Pakistan is trying to get its name removed from the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) international terror-financing watchlist.
