After all the chaos and massive protest seen in the Northeastern state of Assam due to Citizenship Amendment Act, the curfew imposed in Guwahati was lifted up after seven hours since 9 a.m. on Saturday. The situation has however improved in Assam although the train services continue to be affected. In Dibrugarh municipal area, the curfew was relaxed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. With prohibitory orders relaxed till 4 p.m., shops and markets opened in the capital city and some vehicles were seen plying on the roads.

Introducing the new transformed Kashmir prevailing normalcy in the region, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted in Lok Sabha that terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir have come down to almost nil. Adding, he also, said the Army, paramilitary forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police have been coordinating to fight terrorism in the state.
Shutting out all the misleading allegations on how disruption in Jammu and Kashmir prevailed and how people still suffer under the clampdown, Union Minister Amit Shah in a dignified manner placed the facts and figures stating normalcy has been restored in the newly formed Union territory. Availing all possible facilities with medical conditions to basic amenities, Shah reiterated that the region is moving back on its normalcy track.
