Incessant rainfall that flooded the roads and triggered landslides in the Kumaon division in Uttarakhand, has destroyed public property worth Rs. 2000 in the last few days. The rescue department has rescued over 7800 tourists trapped in various areas in the division due to heavy rains. Chief Minister has asked the administration to focus on restoring power and water supply as well as road connectivity which was disrupted due to heavy rains in the last few days.
