Viewing to give a major boost to its combat capabilities, the Indian Air Force here on Tuesday moved up inducting eight US-made Apache AH-64E attack helicopters.
The United States on Tuesday approved to sell six AH-64E Apache attack helicopters worth USD 930 million or around Rs 62 billion to India. Notably, the United States government has cleared the deck for New Delhi to purchase six Apache AH-64E choppers which will give a major boost in defence sector of India as it is emerging as the world power. The agreement has been passed to the US Congress for approval and if no US lawmaker raises an objection, the contract will go ahead.
