The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put up a spectacular performance in the Gujarat municipal corporation elections. It is set to retain power in all six municipal corporations of Gujarat - Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar - improving its numbers over the 2016 polls and nearly decimating the Congress.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unfurled a flag of victory by winning five of the seven Mayor seats in Uttarakhand. The Congress won two. BJP had won in Haldwani, Rudrapur, Rishikesh, Kashipur and the state capital Dehradun's while the Congress emerged victorious in Haridwar and Kotdwar.
BJP in Jharkhand has unfurled the flag of victory by winning all the five municipal corporations.The party has also captured nine out of 13 Nagar Panchayats, seven out of 16 Municipal Councils and won the bypoll to the chairperson’s seat in Jhumri Tilaiya Nagar.
