ABHYAS – High speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) was successfully flight-tested from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha today (Jun 29). The performance of the aircraft at low altitude including sustained level and high manoeuvrability was demonstrated during the test flight.
DRDO developed this High-speed Expendable Aerial Target Abhyas to meet the requirement of aerial targets of the Indian Armed Forces.

As part of the ongoing Indo-US defence cooperation, a joint military training, Exercise Yudh Abhyas - 2019 is being conducted at Joint Base Lewis Mc Chord, Washington, USA from September 05-18. Exercise Yudh Abhyas is one of the largest joint running military training and defence corporation endeavors between India and USA. This will be the 15th edition of the joint exercise hosted alternately between the two countries.
