Increasing strategic bilateral ties, India and the US initiated the second 2+2 dialogue in Washington. The meeting was led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar, from the Indian side and Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper from the US side focused on sharing vision of the two sides on global perspectives, including the geopolitically significant Indo-Pacific region.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh arrived in New York today on his way to Washington for the 2+2 dialogue between the Defence and External Affairs Ministers of India and their United States counterparts. In New York, Raksha Mantri attended a reception for the Indian Community and Friends of India organised by the Consulate General of India at the Asia Society.
The third India-Australia Secretary-level 2+2 Dialogue was held in New Delhi today. The Indian delegation was led by Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, while the Australian side was led by Defence Secretary Greg Moriarty and Foreign Secretary Frances Adamson.
