The huge victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections has not rippled in the left-liberal and deep state cabal. It has created huge tsunami waves. Soon after his victory, many corporations either shut down or scaled down the
Diversity Equity Inclusion (
DEI) programs. The latest was Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram. Meta Platforms has terminated its DEI policy. The other big corporations are Amazon, McDonald’s, Walmart, Ford, Harley- Davidson, Toyota etc. and many more.
One of the very first decisions that the Trump administration took on the first day of operations was that it ordered with immediate effect, all federal employees working on DEI initiatives to be placed under paid leaves as the government shuts the DEI offices. He has also removed the DEI programs in the military. It means we will no longer see biological male military officers wearing a skirt at work!
The question now remains whether Trump will take action against those DEI policies outside the government. The Wokes are clever in deception. They will rebrand their original idea and serve the same old idea in a different packet. This has started to happen. For example, Starbucks who was considered the champion of DEI (remember the queer support ad of Starbucks India?) stopped its DEI initiative but conveniently changed the terminology to Inclusion, Diversity & Belonging.
If Donald Trump is serious about shutting down DEI fraudsters, he has to understand the game of deception to undertake a genuine transformation. The DEI programs receive millions and millions of dollars. It forces corporations to focus on unnecessary issues and waste money on training and programs instead of focusing on their core activities. We had earlier argued that these woke initiatives like DEI are killing merit. Under these fraud initiatives, people are hired based just on their sexuality and not their qualifications. Getting employed based on sexual preferences is right for adult entertainment companies, not any other. Thrusting gender-neutral toilets, and gender pronouns on all employees is an infringement of the right to privacy and freedom of speech and expression.
In the coming days, it will be pertinent to see whether Trump is serious about permanently shutting down these stupid DEI policies or not. The Wokes depend a lot on nomenclatures. Remember how Marxism became Cultural Marxism, Reverse Discrimination became Affirmative Action, etc. These Wokes in a few days might come up with the same DEI policies, but with some other name. It will important to see how Trump tackles this.
The Indian companies will be closely watching this. A shutdown of DEI policies in the US can have effect in India too. The companies here in India might have to terminate DEI policies which have been running havoc in the past few years. But why depend on the US to take action? Indian government must impose severe actions like audits, contract losses etc. on companies in India which continue DEI policies.
All in all, we can say that the atmosphere has changed after Trump’s victory. It all depends on the seriousness and genuine transformations through actions. Then the Woke virus policy of DEI may DIE.
