He said that as an answer to these fatwas, Hindu Samaj will unite and vote for PM Narendra Modi.

What is Fatwa?

A ‘fatwa’ is a religious ruling or opinion issued by an Islamic scholar or mufti. It is usually in response to a question posed by a Muslim concerning Islamic law or doctrine and is not legally binding. The word "fatwa" comes from the Arabic root f-t-y, which means "to decide" or "to give an opinion."

The biggest celebration of Indian democracy is 'voting'. At this time, if there is going to be a 'Jihad' against a political party, and if 'Fatwa' are going to be issued, then what exactly has this form of politics and who has got it, a frightening question arises from the point of view of democracy.

In a fundamentalist religion like Islam, the seriousness of a 'fatwa' should be taken into account as the word of their religious leaders is the final word. It is not difficult to guess from this information how serious the repercussions of fatwas on Indian politics can be.
