The Delhi Police responded to two PCR calls allegedly made in the name of Swati Maliwal, claiming she was being assaulted by the Chief Minister's Personal Secretary at the CM House. However, Maliwal was not present at CM's residence when the Delhi Police personnel reached there, as per the information.

The accused has been identified as Bibhav Kumar, who was recently sacked by the Vigilance Department from the position of personal secretary over a 2007 case involving assault against a public servant. Meanwhile, in February, Bibhav was also summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

BJP slams AAP

Hitting out at AAP over Maliwal’s assault allegation, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya pointed out that Maliwal maintained silence on party supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest and was not even in India back then.

"AAP RS MP and former DCW chief Swati Maliwal alleges that Delhi CM’s PA assaulted her. Call made from Delhi CM’s House. Remember, Swati Maliwal had maintained radio silence on Kejriwal’s arrest. She was in fact not even in India at that time and didn’t return for a long time," Malviya wrote on X.
