In a shocking development, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead by Mauris Noronha, popularly known as 'Mauris Bhai' while they was doing a Facebook livestream in Mumbai's Dahisar area on Thursday.
After firing three shots on Goshalkar in Dahisar, Mauris Noronha killed himself. A viral video of the incident, which took place at assailant Mauris Noronha's office in IC Colony in the northern suburb of Borivali (West), showed Ghosalkar being shot in the abdomen and shoulder.

Reports suggest that Ghosalkar and Noronha had old enmity and the Facebook Live was to clarify that they had come together, ending their bitterness for the betterment of the area. As Ghosalkar finished his message and was preparing to leave the room, Noronha fired at him - the incident was recorded on Facebook Live.
Mauris Bhai shot thrice at Ghosalkar. After this, Mauris Bhai shot himself dead, police said, adding that Ghosalkar was shot over 'personal enmity'.
Who Is Abhishek Ghosalkar
- Abhishek Ghosalkar, son of Shivsena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar and a former corporator.
- His father, Vinod Ghosalkar, was a member of the Maharashtra Assembly from 2009 to 2014. Vinod Ghosalkar also reportedly served as a corporator in the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

Who Is Mauris Noronha
Mauris Noronha ran a voluntary organisation in Mumbai's Borivali. He was famous in local political circle and was a self-proclaimed leader in the area. He described himself on his Instagram account as "philanthropist, social worker, and above all a human".
Mauris Noronha had planned a trip to infant Jesus shrine in Maharashtra's Nashik on February 10 for the people of the neighbourhood. This trip was even mentioned by Abhishek Ghosalkar during the Facebook live on Thursday in which he was shot.
What is the reason behind it?
Things between Abhishek Ghosalkar and Mauris Noronha got worse when a case of rape was registered against the latter, leading to his arrest. Suspecting that Abhishek Ghosalkar was behind the legal troubles, Noronho allegedly came up with a plan and shot Ghosalkar multiple times before taking his own life, the report added.
Mauris Noronha, who had recently returned to Mumbai from Los Angeles, was reportedly wanting to contest the upcoming corporator elections, however, his candidacy was opposed by Abhishek Ghosalkar.

Meanwhile taking advantage of the incident, some members of the UBT faction have tried so hard to somehow link Mauri's bhai and Ghosalkar's grudge to BJP. "Gunda raj in Maharashtra.
