IND vs AFG 3rd T20I: Following a record-breaking century by skipper Rohit Sharma and a fantastic batting effort by Afghanistan batters, it took two Super Overs to separate both the sides as India beat Afghanistan by 11 runs after the match and the first Super Over ended in a tie here at Bengaluru during the third T20I on Wednesday. With this, India has secured the series 3-0.

The first Super Over of IND vs AFG ended in a tie, with both sides scoring 16 runs each. In the second super over, Rohit hit a four and six but India lost both their wickets with a ball to go, giving Afghanistan 12 runs to make. But Ravi Bishnoi delivering this Super Over got Nabi and Gurbaz within the first three balls, with just one run on the board.

After registering two ducks in the first 2 IND vs AFG T20Is, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma smashed an unbeaten 121 off just 64 balls against Afghanistan in the third and final match of the three-match series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, January 17. He also became the first player in history to score five centuries in T20 internationals. India endured their worst Powerplay outing of the series as the side lost four wickets – including star batter Virat Kohli and Sanju Samson for a duck. However, Rohit showed great resilience as he took on the challenge, steering the innings alongside Rinku Singh (69*), who also showed his range outside of being a finisher.

A sheer brilliance was witnessed in IND vs AFG 3rd T20I when Virat Kohli showcased a superhuman effort to prevent what appeared to be a certain six on the boundary line during Afghanistan's chase. It played a key role in the match ending in a tie.

In the 17th over, Karim Janat attempted a big shot towards the long-on boundary against off-spinner Washington Sundar but Kohli saved it from crossing the ropes. Realising he couldn't catch the ball, Kohli swiftly flicked the ball into play before touching the boundary ropes. His exceptional effort saved five assured runs for the team, leaving fans and fellow Indian players in the dugout in awe.

When Rohit Sharma hit a four, umpire Virender Sharma adjudged it as leg byes. When he became aware of the leg bye decision and expressed his dismay to umpire Virender Sharma, humorously questioning the signal for a thigh-pad on the first four. "Arey viru, thigh-pad diya kya pehla four? Bat laga tha! do zero already ho gaya hai yaar. (Hey Viru, did you signal for the thigh pad on the first four? I hit that with my bat!)" The commentators couldn't help but share a laugh, and even umpire Virender Sharma acknowledged the mix-up, apologizing to Rohit.
