J&K: Maulvi sexually assaults minor girl in Srinagar while teaching Quran, arrested

Srinagar, Sept 21: In a significant development, a Maulvi identified as Hazafu Rehman has been arrested for sexually molesting a minor girl in Srinagar while teaching the Quran.

The Jammu and Kashmir police said that Maulvi named Hazaif u Rehman, a resident of Udham Nagar, Uttrakhand A/P Gulberg colony arrested for sexually molesting a small girl child while teaching the Quran.
 
In this regard, the Police have registered an FIR vide the number No 90/2023 under the relevant sections of the law stand registered in Sadar PS.
 
 
"One Maulvi namely Hazafu Rehman S/o Ab Basit R/o Udham nagar Uttrakhand A/P Gulberg colony arrested for sexually molesting a small girl child. while teaching Quran. FIR No 90/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Sadar PS," the Srinagar Police said.
