In a shocking revelation, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was in touch with Canadian Intelligence Agency before he was shot dead. Najjar, who was involved in anti-India activities, was also regularly briefed and assisted by Canadian authorities. As per the reports, total of 26 extradition requests are pending with Canadian authorities. Around six to seven known Khalistani operatives are hiding in Canada, they said.
 
Balraj Singh Nijjar, the son of slain Hardeep Singh Nijjar, has told the Canadian media that his father had weekly meetings with Canadian intelligence officials before his murder. As per a report by Canadian news website National Observer, Balraj Singh Nijjar said his father had been meeting with Canadian Security Intelligence Service officers “once or twice a week.” 
 
This comes after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that the Indian governmentwas involved in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India has rejected the charge as absurd.
 
 
 
 
Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has begun attaching the properties of fugitive Khalistani terrorists. A list has been redrawn to complete the attachment process under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
 
 
 
 
The NIA is also likely to send a team to complete a probe against Khalistani elements to Canada, subject to clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs.
 
Meanwhile, India has announced to suspend the issuance of visas temporarily to Canadian citizens in view of "security threats" faced by its high commissions and consulates in Canada. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said the decision will include Canadian visa applicants in third countries while asserting that Canada must act against the Khalistani elements operating from its territory.
