Giving it back to Canada for making a false allegation instead of taking action against the Khalistanis, New Delhi has now while taking a similar action asked Canadian diplomat ‘Olivier Sylvestere’ to leave the nation within 5 days.

India TO Canada

As per the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, the central government expelled a Senior Canadian Diplomat for interfering in India's internal affairs.

The Indian MEA released a statement stating "the High Commissioner of Canada to India was summoned today and informed about the decision of the Government of India to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India."

"The concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India within the next five days. The decision reflects the Government of India’s growing concern at the interference of Canadian diplomats in our internal matters and their involvement in anti-India activities," the statement added.

This move follows Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's accusation of Indian government interference in Canadian internal affairs.

During an emergency session of the parliament, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that his government had received 'credible allegations' linking Indian agents to the murder of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia in June.

Shortly after Trudeau's speech, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announced the expulsion of a senior Indian Diplomat based at the Indian High Commission in Ottawa. The diplomat's identity, however, remains undisclosed.

The central government rejected Canada's allegations and termed the charges by Canada as "absurd and motivated" and said India has a strong commitment to the rule of law. "Allegations of Government of India's involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated," a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated.

India also accused Canada of providing shelter for the Khalistani terrorists, who "continue to threaten India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity." The central government also said Canada's inaction in dealing with the Khalistani terrorists has been a "long-standing and continuing concern".
