Muslim man in Morbi elopes with Hindu woman; Tankara engages in protest against increasing Love Jihad cases

Ahmedabad, Sep 18: Owing to a serious case of Love Jihad, Tankara taluka in Morbi observed a strike today (Sep 18) in protest of an alleged incident of Love Jihad. The recent case in lines with Love Jihad, in Morbi, that spiked the protests is linked to a Muslim man named Wasim Khalifa who has eloped with a Hindu woman.

 

  

 

 

A Muslim man named Wasim Khalifa allegedly eloped with a Hindu woman from Tankara about 4 days ago. The Hindu woman’s father has filed a written complaint with the PSI, alleging that the accused, Wasim, has a criminal history and that he eloped with his daughter after trapping her in relations.

 

 

  

The local Hindu leaders from Tankara reportedly gathered at Dayanand Saraswati Chowk at 10 am on Monday, September 18th. They held a rally and handed over a memorandum to the Mamlatdar, demanding action against the Love Jihad incident.

 

 

 

Local residents, Hindu leaders, and merchants joined the rally. Local merchants observed a strike from morning to afternoon and also participated in the rally. Local Hindus also made written and verbal appeals to the police, demanding action.
