Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with its 15th edition and the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show came close to getting its second crorepati of the season.
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 aka KBC 15, Indore-based contestant Shubham Gangrade won Rs 50 lakh on the Amitabh Bachchan show. Interestingly, he tried to play for Rs 1 crore, however, he couldn't answer the difficult question on the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Let's know what that question is.
What was the question? The winning question was about the first atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima in Japan. It read, “What was the aircraft that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on 6th Aug 1945, named after?" Shubham’s options were: a mythical weapon, a film character, the pilot’s mother or the place where it was built.
The correct answer to the question was the third option: the pilot’s mother. The name of the aircraft and the pilot’s mother was Enola Gay. Since Shubham did not know the correct answer, he quit the show on Thursday’s episode.
Shubham chose to quit the show and walk away with ₹50 lakh. Last week, the current season of Kaun Banega Crorepati found its first crorepati in Jaskaran from Punjab. He answered the ₹1 crore question correctly, but had no clue about the jackpot ₹7 crore question. He, too, chose to quit the game.
