In what can be termed as a revenge attack against followers of the Sanatan Dharma, the Tamil Nadu government which runs their government of money of 38,000 Hindu temples of Tamil Nadu, has forcefully sealed the godown of Ganesha Idol Makers in Karur district in the name of pollution.
The incident came to light after a heartwrenching video in which the Ganesha idol makers are seen crying and begging in front of the pollution control board people to not seal their godown.
The Stalin-led pollution board officials, took this action saying that these idols have "synthetic" paint. However, the makers claim that they have not used synthetic paint, but natural colours. They say that they have taken loans to make the idols and this is their only source of income.
Ignoring their plea, the pollution board continued their action and sealed the godown.
Sharing the video, Senthilnathan said that this incident is a witness that this government is not only against Hindus but also against poor workers.
It should be noted that from time to time DMK the staunch follower of Periyar has shown their hatred against the Sanatan Dharma. Recently, The party’s stance towards Hinduism has always been a matter of debate and criticism over the years. The party has long history for its strong anti-Hindu stance, and decisive politics on regional card.
DMK men, or members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam political party in India, take pride in demolishing hundred-year-old Hindu temples and it is nothing new as this has been part of their political ideology. They also believe that the traditional Hindu religion is responsible for the oppression of the lower classes and the denial of their rights.
The Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, went on a tirade against Sanatan Dharma on social media. He compared the Hindu civilisational religious philosophy with ‘malaria’ and ‘dengue.’
He further added that Sanatan Dharma is against social justice and should hence be eradicated,
The son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, Udhayanidhi said, “What is the meaning of Sanatan? It is eternal, that is, it cannot be changed; no one could pose any question and that is the meaning,” on Saturday, adding that Sanatan divided people on the basis of caste. Later, he posted on X (formerly Twitter): “I am ready to present extensive writings of Periyar and Ambedkar, who conducted in-depth research on Sanatan Dharma and its negative impact on society…”
