'Rakhi nahi, Fatima Bolo': Rakhi Sawant returns from Mecca after performing Umrah; refuses male fan to garland her

Rakhi Sawant, who is living up her to name - the controversial entertainer, has returned to India from Mecca after performing Umrah.

 

 

Reports claimed that the dancer-actress born into a Hindu family, who was also a staunch believer of ‘Jesus’, converted to Islam when she married Adil Khan Durrani earlier this year. However, her marriage went kaput after she accused him of harassment.

 

Amid all the allegations and counter-allegations, Rakhi took off for her pilgrimage trip to Umrah and returned to Mumbai after performing Umrah for the first time.

 

Clicked at the Mumbai Airport, the actress was welcomed with garlands and showered with rose petals at the airport. She appeared in a white abaya and interacted with the media.

 

When the paprazzi started calling out to her to speak, she requested them to address her Fatima and not Rakhi.

 

 

After asked about the defamation case, Rakhi said, "I don't want to say anything. I have just come after Umrah, I went to the 'pawan dharti' of Madina. Kaun kya drama kar raha hai, kiski baat kar rahe hain aap pata nahi (I don't know who is doing what drama)."

 

 

When one of the paps asked her if she should have taken this pilgrimage with Adil, instead of going alone, the actress responded, “Uske Naseeb mein nahi tha. Vaade toh bahut kiye the shaadi ke baad, ki ‘main aapko Umrah le jaunga’. Pehla Umrah toh husband ya family ke saath hi hota hai. Lekin mujhe akele jaane mila (He was possibly not destined to go. Although he did make a lot of promises after marriage about taking me to Umrah. The thing is, the first Umrah is supposed to be taken either with the husband or with your family. But I had to go alone).”

 

For the unversed, Rakhi Sawant is said to have tied the knot with Adil Khan last year. The couple took a few months to make it official but soon after confessing about their marriage, Rakhi started throwing allegations against Adil, accusing him of abusing her. Later, another girl also accused Durrani of rape. Followed by these charges, while Adil was arrested, the latter continued to maintain that he was innocent and in turn, he accused Rakhi of beating and assaulting him post their marriage.
