"Bete ko haath lagaane se pehle…": Netizens think this dialogue from SRK's Jawan trailer has a message in it

The much-awaited trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's film Jawan is out! Since its release earlier on Thursday, the internet has been flooded with memes, videos and pictures.

However, it seems like the dialogue of the movie has also grabbed everyone's attention. For instance, the dialogue where SRK says, "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar," is going viral on social media.

So much so that “baap” was trending on X (formerly Twitter) with many users in fact linking the dialogue to the wrath that SRK’s son Aryan Khan had to endure in a Mumbai drugs case.

The story of Jawan is rumoured to revolve around a father-son relationship, with Shah Rukh playing the double role. At one point in the trailer, Shah Rukh's father character says, "Bete ko haath lagane se pahle, baap se baat kar" (Deal with the father before you touch the son). The dialogue also coincides with a slate that reads ‘produced by Gauri Khan’.

Obviously, this has got the internet drawing parallels to Shah Rukh's real life, when his son Aryan Khan was arrested in 2021 for possession of drugs. The investigation continued for weeks since it was a non-bailable offence, before he was released on bail. Later, Aryan was given a clean chit as Sameer Wankhede, an investigating officer on the case, was accused of asking for bribe from Shah Rukh.

Throughout the trailer, Shah Rukh can be seen in multiple avatars, including one where he is sporting grey hair and another with a moustache.

"Jawan" also stars Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra in key roles. It is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Gupta under the production banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
