New Delhi, Aug 14: The Indian army has installed smart fences based on cutting-edge sensor and CCTV camera technology to deter infiltration efforts along the Line of Control (LoC). This has improved border security and surveillance, according to Jammu-based army public relations officer Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, who accompanied a group of journalists to advanced regions in the Akhnoor and Poonch sectors.

The smart fences are part of the technological innovations that the army has incorporated into its operations along the LoC, officials said.

He claims that cutting-edge sensors and CCTV cameras are impossible to avoid since they detect even the smallest movement and promptly send signals to the control center.

According to the official, the army has implemented technical improvements and inventive techniques in its constant quest of securing the nation's borders, and they also demonstrate the adaptability and ingenuity that define the contemporary Indian soldier.

The technologies and equipment needed to safeguard the Line of Control were also displayed.

"The intersection of traditional (methods) and innovation paints a comprehensive picture of the modern Indian soldier's multi-faceted role," stated Lt Col Bartwal.

Soldiers, he added, represent the principles of honor, responsibility, and sacrifice that constitute the core of their service by putting their lives on the line to secure the nation's borders.

"It is clear that each individual embodied a deep sense of duty and pride in safeguarding their homeland," Lt Col Bartwal said, adding that "this commitment to constant improvement is a testament to the army's dedication to maintaining peak operational readiness."

The troops also demonstrated their hard training regimens.

According to the army public relations officer, a soldier's day takes place in the middle of brutal terrain and unpredictable weather.

"Yet, their morale remains unshaken, and their determination to defend the country is stronger than ever." "Every step they take embodies a resilience that outweighs the physical challenges they face, embodying the true spirit of a soldier's duty," he added.

In the face of difficulty, the Lieutenant Colonel stated that troops stationed near the LoC act as "sentinels of strength, reminding us that it is their fortitude that fortifies our borders and preserves the nation's integrity."
