In yet another killing of militants in Pakistan, a designated Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Khalid Saifullah has been reportedly shot and injured in Pakistan's Kasur city of Punjab province.
Reports suggest that Saifullah was shot in his hometown by unknown gunmen on Saturday night. He was admitted to a hospital in a critical state, the reports said. Former TTP commander Ehsanullah Ehsan has also confirmed this.
Khalid Saifullah is close aide of terrorist Hafiz Saeed. Till now, no organisation or person has taken the responsibility of this attack.
Last week, a Jihadist linked to Hafiz Saeed's identified as Sardar Hussain was shot dead by nationalist militants of Sindh in Karachi.
Pakistan media reported that Sardar Hussain of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah' was killed near his shop last week and succumbed to injuries four days later in hospital on August 5.
Notably, newly-created Sindhudesh Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the assassination of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah' member. "Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army claims the responsibility of attack on the Jamait-ul- Dawa (Lashkar e Taiba) Leader and Punja- bi Settler 'Sardar Hussain Arain'," it said in a letter.
This year several anti-India Kashmir-focussed militants have been assassinated in Pakistan. The Jihadists killed were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen and Al-Badr Mujahideen. In February this year, Khalid Raza of Al-Badr was killed in Karachi by unidentified gunmen. In the same month, Imitaz Alam alias Bashir Peer of Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in Rawalpindi.
In March 2022, Indian airlines IC-814 hijacker Zahoor Mistry was assassinated in Karachi. In 2021, there was an explosion outside the residence of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Lahore.
