London, Aug 12: The last rites of Khalistani terrorist Avtar Singh Khanda were performed today (Aug 12) in UK, as he was cremated at Guru Nanak Gurdwara at Smethwick. The Khalistani terrorist was announced dead on Jun 14. However, his death was not confirmed at that time, resulting in rows of speculations.
Reportedly, UK slain Khalistani terrorist Avtar Singh Khanda has been cremated in the Guru Nanak Gurdwara at Smethwick today (Aug 12). According to reports, not a single member of his family, not even his mother, attended the Khanda's funeral proceedings. Khalistani terrorist Khanda was announced dead on Jun 14.
According to the preliminary reports received earlier, Khanda was admitted in Birmingham Hospital in critical condition due to suspected poisoning. It was later reported that he passed away due to a serious case of blood cancer. Khanda was involved in attack on Indian Embassy in London. Besides he was also accused of providing IED training inside Gurdwaras in UK.
Khanda was a skilled bomb maker & was renowned for making IEDs & bombs using commonly available chemicals in the market. He was a well-known associate of Amritpal Singh and a member of the outlawed Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BBI).
