Kulgam, July 31: In a shocking development, security forces have launched a massive search and rescue operation after an Indian Army soldier on leave went missing from his native Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
It should be noted that the union territory saw several cases of abduction and killing of security personnel in recent years.
The father of the soldier, posted in the Ladakh region, said he was supposed to join work on Sunday.
What happened?
Javaid Ahmad Wani's car was found at Paranhall. Eyewitnesses claim there were blood marks in the car but police officials did not confirm it. His father has appealed to those who might have abducted the soldier to release him alive since he was the only breadwinner of the family.
