Squadron Leader Arshita Jaiswal, a dedicated IAF officer, lost her life at the Army’s command hospital in Panchkula. This came as the incident occurred several days after she was attacked at her official residence in Pathankot, Punjab, on July 17, by a mess worker.

2. The incident occurred on July 17 when Arshita Jaiswal was confronted by an intruder inside her official residence at the air base with an intention of robbery.
 
3. The assailant, identified as a mess worker, used a sharp weapon and repeatedly struck Squadron Leader Arshita Jaiswal, causing severe head injuries.
 
 
 
4.Arshita Jaiswal was taken to the command hospital of Western Army Command in Panchkula, Haryana, for critical treatment.
 
5.A team of skilled surgeons and neuro-specialists worked tirelessly to try and heal her wounds. However, despite their best efforts, Arshita could not overcome her injuries, and on Sunday, July 23, she succumbed to the tragic incident.
 
6. Based on the evidence from CCTV footage, the Pathankot Police arrested the suspected attacker, the mess worker responsible for the assault.
