In a strange incident that happened in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, a man named Abdul Qadir got into the Vande Bharat Express train which was waiting to leave, to urinate at the Bhopal railway station!

Abdul Qadir, a resident of Singrauli’s Baidhan, got into the Vande Bharat Express to urinate at the Bhopal railway station. The train started before he could get down. As soon as he felt the train moving, he ran from the toilet towards the gate to get off the train, but by then the gates were locked.

The gates of Vande Bharat Express are automatically locked, so they cannot be opened. As long as the speed of the train was low, he kept demanding the TTE running in the train to stop the train, but the train could not be stopped, but the TTE imposed a fine of Rs 1020 on him for boarding without a ticket.

This is where it gets interesting! He was supposed to board another which he missed apparently with his family waiting on the platform who got upset.

In order to get out from the train, he reached Ujjain in Vande Bharat Express, because that was the first stop of the train. He was fined Rs 1020, Rs 800 to reach Bhopal from Ujjain and including the fare of the ticket booked in the missed train, costed about six thousand rupees. This incident is on the evening of 15 July.

A railway official told that Abdul’s train was for Singrauli at nine o’clock in the night. Earlier, he had reached Bhopal station from Hyderabad at around 5 pm. According to the reason given by him in Vande Bharat Express, he had got up to urinate.

Subedar Singh, spokesperson of Bhopal Railway Division, says that urinating inside a train standing on the platform is against the rules. Passengers are repeatedly advised by the Railways not to use the toilet when the train is standing. Even then he had boarded the train. The train can be stopped only in case of emergency, but it was not stopped because there was no emergency. Rather, there is a provision of fine in such a case, which has been imposed under the rules.
