New Delhi, Jul 15: Rabupura village is located some 50 kilometers from the national capital, New Delhi. A few weeks ago, this village was relatively unknown. However, a love story between a Pakistani woman and an Indian man has brought this village in Greater Noida out of the shadow of anonymity. Seema Haider lives with her partner, Sachin, in a two-room house in this village.

The Pakistani woman, who entered India illegally to be with her lover, has been at the center of attention since their story first made headlines. The house where the couple lives is surrounded by a crowd, including media and social media personnel, eager to catch a glimpse of Seema and Sachin. The crowd in turn has put the Uttar Pradesh Police on alert.

A senior Uttar Pradesh police officer expressed concerns about potential attacks on Seema after she spoke about converting from Islam to Hinduism to be with Sachin. The police official warned that some miscreant, garbed as a member of the crowd or as media personnel, may carry out a fatal attack against Seema. Though there has been no formal request from Seema or Sachin, seeking security measures, the police are maintaining constant surveillance on Seema and Sachin's house. Police officers, both in uniform and plain clothes, are discreetly deployed around the house in Rabupura. On Friday, Sachin and his family informed the local police about the potential attack on Seema. As a precautionary measure, Sachin's family has started requiring identification documents from anyone visiting the house, including media personnel. According to sources, it is expected that the central government will not repatriate Seema to Pakistan at this time. The final decision on Seema’s future lies with the Ministry of External Affairs and the central government, sources added. Talking about Seema’s illegal entry into India, sources within the Uttar Pradesh Police suggest the possibility of granting a long-term visa with certain conditions, considering Seema's marriage to an Indian, Sachin.

If Sachin appeals to the government for permission for his wife, Seema, to stay in India, she may be granted a long-term visa due to her status as Sachin's wife, sources said. Once granted a long-term visa, it becomes easier to obtain Indian citizenship under such circumstances. However, their marriage must be legally recognized for this process. If their marriage is legally recognized, Sachin, as an Indian husband, can file an application in the relevant department to obtain Indian citizenship for Seema, sources said.
