Alexander Soros

George Soros is a 92-year-old man with huge quantities of money to donate. George Soros has donated $32 Billion to the Open Society Foundations, A foundation that funds multiple anti-India activities inside as well as outside India. He has funded the infamous organization called EqualityLabs which was responsible for the CISCO caste discrimination case in the US. Thenmozhi Soundararajan, the founder of Equality Labs, is connected to George Soros‘s Open Society Foundation & her Project work on “Expose sexual violence against Dalit women in India” is acknowledged by the Open Society Foundation’s Track 1: Project Development.

George Soros has also made numerous investments in India. One of which is Aspada Investment Company, which is backed by billionaire investor George Soros' Economic Development Fund and is investing $2 million (Rs 11 crore) in integrated cold chain trucking operator Schedulers Logistics. Soros has also been involved in a number of political controversies over the years, with some accusing him of using his wealth and influence to shape politics and promote his own interests. Despite this, Soros remains a highly respected and influential figure in the world of finance and philanthropy. "Money is all that has kept him out of jail," said an Investors Business Daily editorial from 2011, while talking about Soros's 2005 insider-trading conviction in France, which was upheld by the European Court of Human Rights in 2011. Soros, in 2020 had pledged $1 billion to fund a new university network to tackle the spread of nationalism and had condemned leaders like Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping. Soros had targeted PM Modi saying that "the leader is creating a Hindu nationalist state, imposing punitive measures on Kashmir, and threatening to deprive millions of Muslims of their citizenship". The Open Society University Network (OSUN) is an international platform and universities all over the world can join it. George Soros has been linked to several 'regime-change' attempts, including the 2016 US Presidential elections. Thousands of emails that were leaked from Soros's Open Society Foundation by the activist hacker group DCLeaks showed OSF pumping millions of dollars into Hillary Clinton's campaigns. The 1992 bet against the Bank of England by George Soros's Quantum Fund was its most famous trade. In 1997, George Soros is speculated to have orchestrated the financial crisis of Thailand. Soros, says a Business Insider report, bet 'just under $1 billion of his total war chest of $12 billion against the [Thai currency] baht. There's plenty of speculation that because he placed such a large bet on the baht, Soros helped engineer the Asian crisis via his political connections. The Bank of Thailand eventually broke, leading to the devaluation of the Thai baht, and profits for Soros.

Alexander Soros is the eldest of two sons of George Soros and Susan Weber, who was George Soros’s second wife. Earlier it was believed that if anyone would replace him, it would be Jonathan Soros – his youngest son from his first marriage to Annaliese Soros. Early on, Alex’s appearances at the organization had been understated, and he was mostly known for making headlines in relation to his social life. WSJ quotes a 2016 headline from Daily Mail, a UK tabloid, as saying, “Gorgeous models, NBA pals and hide-and-seek at his mansion: Welcome to the lavish life of investor George Soros’ playboy son.” Alex told WSJ that he is “more political” than his father but that the two “think alike.” Alex said he was broadening his father’s “liberal aims” and embracing different causes, including voting rights, abortion rights, and gender equity. He said he aims to keep using the family’s wealth to back left-leaning US politicians. Alex also said in the interview that he recently met with US government officials and heads of state, including Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, to push for issues related to the family foundation. He also expressed concern that former US President Donald Trump would return to the White House and hinted that the Soros organization would play a key financial role in the 2024 presidential race.
