Adah Sharma's The Kerala Story earns more than Rs 165 crore, march towards Rs 200-crore milestone

Amid the criticism from the so-called liberals and leftists, the Kerala Story movie is collecting a whopping amount at the box office. The film has already broken many box office records.

Though on May 17, the film saw a slight drop in its collection, it still managed to collect a whopping Rs 165 crore at the domestic box office. Despite several controversies created by liberals and leftists, The Kerala Story has emerged as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023.

 

On May 16, The Kerala Story managed to surpassed Rs 150 crore (nett) in theatres. As per the early estimates, the film showed immense growth on Day 13, May 17. It reportedly minted Rs 9.25 crore at the box office. Hence, the total collection of The Kerala Story now stands at Rs 165.94 crore. It had an overall 17.97 percent Hindi occupancy on May 17.

With this, ‘The Kerala Story’ is now rushing towards the Rs 200 crores milestone!

Directed by Sudipto Sen and starring Adah Sharma, The Kerala Story was released on May 5, 2023. The movie revolves around Shalini Unnikrishnan, played by Adah Sharma, an innocent Hindu woman from Kerala, who is brainwashed by her Muslim friend and gets converted to Islam and marries a Muslim man and she gets into terrorist group ISIS.

The film is based on real-life incidents where around 32,000 women from Kerala are trapped under this hazardous scheme. The Kerala Story has been in the scanner ever since the trailer was released.
