Hyderabad, April 08: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao skipped receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad on Saturday. The Prime Minister's Office informed that PM Modi was received by Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and other dignitaries at the airport.
KCR will also skip PM Narendra Modi's official programmes in Hyderabad.
PM Modi is visiting Telangana to inaugurate projects worth Rs 11,360 crore in Hyderabad today. An official communique was sent to Chief Minister's Office (CMO) inviting KCR to participate in Prime Minister's launch of development programmes.
PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar and five National Highway projects.
During his visit, the prime minister will also lay the foundation stone of redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station and other development projects related to the Indian Railways.
It may be noted that KCR's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) are were engaged in a bitter war of words over the leakage of TSPSC and SSC question papers and the arrest of BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
