Eating Biryani... Wait check the hygiene condition of the restaurant before eating your favourite food. Recently, a shocking video went viral where hotel staff members in Telangana’s Sony Restaurant were caught washing biryani rice in a toilet bowl.

The restaurant owned by Syed Amer Ahmed is located in Telangana’s Siddipet region. It should be highlighted that the restaurant was inaugurated by the State "health" minister Harish Rao.

Sharing a video, a twitter user wrote, "#Biryani rice being washed in #toilets at #Sonyrestaurant in #Siddipet in #telanganapolice state. #CustomerService questions the owner and he says as water isn't coming outside, so workers cleaning here."

The video has sparked a huge debate over the unhygienic condition in which the food was being prepared.
As per the video, a staff member revealed that there was a water shortage in the restaurant since a motor had been burnt. Therefore, they resorted to using toilet water for washing the biryani rice.
