Al Jazeera, a Qatar government-funded Hinduphobic media house, desperately wants to tarnish India; Know how

Since a long time, Al Jazeera, the Qatar government-funded media house, has been writing grossly misleading and instigating articles against India. Not only that, but the media house, which is known for its anti-Hindu and anti-India stands, has accused India of being an Islamophobic country by misrepresenting historical facts to justify its claim. Al Jazeera has left no stone unturned to tarnish India’s image in front of the world.

Recently, going one step further, it published an article, 'The Rise and Rise of Islamophobia in India', with a subheading that 'Muslims have been subjected to violence for decades, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has only made things worse.' In that article, they twisted the incident to fulfil its agenda while using graphics generated with artificial intelligence.

It quotes the 1992 demolition of the Babri Masjid as one of the events that gave rise to Islamophobia. While twisting the facts about the incident, the media house said, "Hindu nationalists destroyed the 16th-century Babri Mosque in 1992." Nationwide riots then killed about 2,000 people, mostly Muslims."

Moreover, in a classic case of Goebbels' (Hilter's minister) propaganda technique of repeating lies until they become as good as truth, Aljazeera quotes the Godhra incident and claims that PM Modi and the Gujarat CM did little to stop the violence that followed. In the caption, it said that "In 2002, 59 Hindu pilgrims were killed in a train fire in Gujarat state, which was blamed on Muslims, adding that Narendra Modi, who headed the state at that time, was accused of doing little to stop the violence."

Reality

For unreserved, on February 27, 2002, 59 innocent Hindus were killed as the Islamic jihadis set on fire the S6 coach of the Sabarmati Express near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat. Sharing the half-truth that 790 Muslims were killed in reprisal attacks that took place across the state after the incident, it hides that not only Muslims but also 254 Hindus were also killed in the attack. Moreover, the state government, led by the Modi government, has also taken all the necessary steps to contain the damage.

It also hides the fact that PM Modi has been absolved of all charges by none other than the Supreme Court of India. Also, on February 8, 2012, the SIT gave Modi a clean chit in the Gujarat riots case. (Modi became the PM.)
Further, it cites the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) and labels it anti-Muslim. An organisation like Aljazeera must know that CAA did not talk about immigrants or those who are already citizens of India. Hence, CAA cannot be discriminatory against Indian Muslims.

In its report, it talks about the movie 'Kashmir Files and declares it one that demonises Muslims. Kashmir Files is the first attempt to showcase the pain and horror endured by Kashmiri Pandits. Many families and victims are alive to tell the tale. Can movies about the Holocaust be labelled as anti-German? If not, then why are Kashmiri files being targeted?

Aljazeera is so blatantly anti-India that it even criticises India's conservation programme. Since, it is a Qatar government funded organization, the Indian government should take up the issue with Qatar at appropriate level.
