Doha, April 12: Popular singer Mika Singh felt proud as he shared on Wednesday that he is able to use Indian currency at Doha airport, Qatar while shopping. He thanked PM Narendra Modi for this development.
 
This came while Mika Singh was shopping at Louis Vuitton at Doha airport. He also said that one can also rupees in any restaurant her. He said, "A massive salute to Modi Ji for enabling us to use our money like dollars".

"Good morning.I felt so proud to be able to use Indian rupees whilst shopping at #Dohaairport in the @LouisVuitton store. You can even use rupees in any restaurant.. Isn’t that wonderful? A massive salute to @narendramodi saab for enabling us to use our money like dollars," he tweeted while sharing a video of the incident.
 
In the video, he could be heard saying, "India, I am Mika Singh from India. This is very proud moment. Right now, I am at Doha, Qatar. With the Indian currency, you can shop here. You can buy whatever you want, you can shop whatever you want while using Indian currency."
 
 
 
Further, expressing gratitude, he said, "Thanks to PM Narendra Modi Ji, salute to you. Because of you, Indian currency is being used across world. Jai Hind!"
 
Notably, Indian Rupee is now going global as 18 countries have agreed to trade in Rupee. The world is trying to de-Dollarize the international market amid a global economic slowdown and India is turning this into an opportunity. Now trader will be able to import goods from other countries by paying in Rupee. The central bank, RBI, has allowed 18 countries which include Germany, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Singapore, UK and many other countries to transact in Rupee.
