Ajay Banga appointed World Bank head unopposed

US President Joe Biden had in February this year nominated Banga to lead the World Bank. 63-year-old Banga was born in Maharashtra’s Pune and went on to graduate from Delhi University before completing his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
