Theppakadu, March 24: In a major development, the Bomman and Bellie, the on- and off-screen elephant whisperers, who won millions of hearts with their touching story, have become foster parents to another orphaned baby elephant at the government-run Theppakadu Elephant Camp in the Nilgiris District.

"The Circle of life continues #TheElephantsWhisperers Bomman & Bellie are now foster parents to another orphaned baby elephant from Dharmapuri, now in #Mudumalai after Team #TNForest tried its best to reunite the 4 months old calf with the herd. We are happy he is in safe hands. vc-ss," shared IAS officer Supriya Sahu on Twitter.

It should be noted that the story of baby elephants Raghu & Ammu being tended to by a mahout, Bomman, and a sweeper Bellie in the documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ has won the prestigious Oscar Award. The Documentary was shot around Theppakudu Elephant camp in Mudumalai Tiger reserve.
