Notably, a RTB should have at least two personnel, including the driver, and a Monoblock seat with at least 360 CC. The maximum Speed: 80 km/h on the road, 40 km/h cross-country in mountainous terrain, and 30 km/h in deserts.

It is pertinent to mention that RTB should be able to operate at an altitude of up to 17,000 feet, with a fuel type of either petrol or hybrid, and an unladen weight of no more than 200 kg.

This comes in the backdrop of border conflict between India and China in eastern Ladakh along Line of Actual Control.
