New Delhi, Feb 4: After controversy erupted over Hindenburg's report on the Adani group, there have been several coordinated efforts put forth by the global media which are busy carrying anti-India activities. They are speculating this single instance will hinder India to become one of the global economic forces.
However, according to Industrialist and Mahindra Group's Chairman Anand Mahindra, one should never bet against India over such speculative reports.
Taking to Twitter, he said, "Global media is speculating whether current challenges in the business sector will trip India’s ambitions to be a global economic force."
Slamming such reports he asserted, "I’ve lived long enough to see us face earthquakes, droughts, recessions, wars, terror attacks. All I will say is: never, ever bet against India"
Speaking about the same, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the Adani crisis in an interview with News18, said India's financial sector is very well regulated and one instance, no matter how much it is talked about globally, is not going to be indicative of how well Indian financial markets have been governed.
"India remains as before, absolutely well-governed with a stable government and a well-regulated financial market. As a result, the investor confidence which existed before shall continue even now. Our regulators are normally very stringent about certain governance practices. One instance should not be going to be indicative," she said.
