New Delhi, February 16: Popular devotional singer Anup Jalota has said that there is no nation for Hindus in the world and hence, India should be made Hindu Rashtra as the country has a Hindu population in majority. He claimed that Nepal is no longer a Hindu nation.
In a video that is going viral, the devotional singer said it will not make any difference to anyone, and claimed that the announcement can be made like how the changes were made in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the revocation of Article 370 brought peace in Kashmir and the number of terrorist incidents got reduced.
"There is not a single Hindu nation in the world. Nepal was there...Now even that [country] cannot be called a Hindu Rashtra," Jalota said in a video. "Nobody will be affected [by the] announcement," he added.
Jalota said,"When India and Pakistan got partitioned Pakistan was declared an Islamic nation because Muslim were in majority. In India, we have Hindu majority and should be declared Hindu Rashtra. If India was declared Hindu nation during the time of partition, then it should be done now."
"There is no Hindu nation across the world. Nepal was once a Hindu nation, but it is also not maintained. India should be a Hindu Rashtra because Hindus are in majority here and there have been demands all over the country. Nobody will be affected, it would just be an announcement. In Kashmir, changes were made by the government and peace was established. There are no terrorists act or even less. This announcement should be made at the earliest. I have just given my opinion," said Jalota in a video message.
