The policemen arrived in the area accompanied by JCBs to clear the illegal encroachments that stood on railway land. They faced tough resistance from the shopkeepers who reacted violently to the police action. However, Thursday's anti-encroachment drive is yet to be confirmed by the Indian Railways, Times Network's Aditya reported.
