Ending all the anticipation, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced that Mohan Yadav will be the next Madhya Pradesh chief minister. The 58-year-old leader was named the leader of the BJP legislative party at the meeting held at the BJP headquarters in Bhopal.
1. Mohan Yadav is a three-member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Ujjain Dakshin constituency in the Ujjain district.
2. Mohan Yadav has several educational degrees including BSC, LLB, MA, MBA and PhD.
3. He first became an MLA in 2013 from the same seat. He won the assembly elections from the same seat in 2018 and 2023.
4. Mohan Yadav was also a cabinet minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government from 2020.
5. Yadav has won the 2023 elections by more than 13000 votes.
6. Mohan Yadav was born on March 25, 1965 in Ujjain.
7. He is married to Seema Yadav. They have two sons and a daughter.

Besides, Narendra Singh Tomar, the union minister who resigned after being elected to the assembly, has been named as the new assembly speaker. BJP announced Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla as Deputy CM of MP.
This comes after the BJP swept the Madhya Pradesh assembly election by winning 163 of 230 seats, successfully beating anti-incumbency.
