HAL aims to deliver a comprehensive MRO solution to commercial airlines by developing integrated MRO services that streamline the aircraft repair process.
Airbus will supply HAL with the key A320 family tool set as well as professional consultancy services as part of this strategic relationship.

The goal is to provide HAL with the capabilities to establish a specialist MRO facility for the A320 family of aircraft, in order to meet the rising demand for MRO services in India's aviation sector.

The partnership will focus on extending MRO facilities and improving the commercial fleet, namely the A320 series of aircraft.

HAL's desire to develop an integrated MRO hub in India is a key step toward civil-military convergence and the Government of India's 'Make in India' objective. The initiative highlights HAL's dedication to delivering effective MRO solutions for airlines, thereby boosting India's aviation sector.

Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia, emphasizes Airbus' commitment to developing India's aviation environment.

The establishment of a strong MRO infrastructure is critical to attaining this aim and fostering the expansion of the country's aviation sector.

The MRO facility that will be constructed as a result of this agreement is intended to be a ground-breaking effort in India. HAL and Airbus see this collaboration as a way to drastically cut lead times, improve turnaround times, and minimize MRO costs, eventually enhancing aircraft availability for flight operations.
