This action, which took place both during the day and at night, demonstrated the LCH's fighting skill. Lt Gen AK Suri, Director General of Army Aviation, saw the exercise and witnessed the real-time confirmation of the LCH's armament capabilities from the leading helicopter in a three-attack helicopter formation.

The Light Combat Helicopter, appropriately named "Prachand," which means "tough or powerful" in Hindi, marks a significant advancement in India's military aviation capabilities.

The LCH Prachand was designed and constructed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to suit the rigorous specifications of the Indian Armed Forces. It promises to be a game changer on the battlefield, thanks to its strong armament arsenal and remarkable combat skills.

The Indian Army is going above and beyond to improve its aerial combat capabilities. The Army is taking a huge step toward strengthening its aerial weaponry by planning to purchase a fleet of 90 LCH assault helicopters from HAL. This ambitious acquisition strategy is likely to be reviewed and approved by the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) in the following month.

The successful first discharge of the LCH Prachand's weaponry heralds the start of a new era in Indian Army aerial combat. With the LCH destined to become a vital element of its aviation capabilities, the Army is primed to reach new heights in combat readiness.
