Boycott TATA? Tata invites Mehdi Hasan, who compared non-Muslims to ‘animals’, as speaker for its Mumbai fest

It seems like Ratan Tata led Tata company has stuck in the major controversy for inviting Hinduphobic ‘journalist’ Mehdi Hasan as a speaker for their 14th edition of ‘Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest’.

 

He will participate in two sessions, which are scheduled to be held on Friday (27th October) and Saturday (28th October). For first session titled, he will share will share the stage with Congress MP Shashi Tharoor .

 

 

He will participate in another session titled ‘Turn the Tide’ with ‘journalist’ Rajdeep Sardesai. The event will be held at ‘The Tata Theatre’, which is located inside the ‘The National Centre for the Performing Arts’ (NCPA) premises in South Mumbai.

 

Tata has ’describes the Hinduphobic ‘journalist’ as “the British-American host of The Mehdi Hasan Show on MSNBC and Peacock.”

 

 

 

Hasan is infamous for his 2009 video where he was heard equating non-Muslims with ‘cattle’ and homosexuals with ‘paedophiles.’ “All of these ulama unanimously agree that at the very minimum if Yazid was not a Kaffir — then at the very minimum he was a fasiq, a transgressor, a breaker of Islamic laws, a corrupt individual, a tyrant, a killer a drunkard, a dog lover, a music lover, a homosexual, a pedophile, a sexual deviant, someone who slept with his own mother,” Hasan says in an old recording of what appears to be a sermon on Islamic law.

 

“In this respect the Koran describes the atheist as cattle. As cattle of those who grow the crops and do not stop and wonder about this world,” he said at another moment.

 

Apart from it, he equated Hindu Nationalism in India (a nation that was divided on religious lines) with white Supremacy in the West, which is an ideology based on race. His sinister agenda was to equate Hindutva with Anti-Semitism.
