The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held its annual Vijaydashmi Utsav in Maharashtra's Nagpur city on Tuesday (October 24). Noted singer Shankar Mahadevan was the chief guest of the Dussehra event. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the event in the presence of other Sangh members at the Reshimbaug ground which is an integral part of the organisation's event calendar.
While addressing the Vijayadashmi Utsav, Bhagwat hailed India's presence on the global stage, saying India's pride is growing every year and the world is looking up to India to overcome problems

1.'Hum Rahe Na Rahe, Bharat Ye Rehna Chahiye'
“Cultures like ours celebrate diversity. It connects us. It says you aren’t alone. The community is with you… It extends to the entire wishwa. Vasudhaiva kutumbakam. He vishwachi maze ghar.Hum rahe na rahe, Bharat ye rehna chahiye. This is applicable to everyone, irrespective of caste, creed,” Bhagwat said.
2."Some anti-social people call themselves cultural Marxists or woke but they have forgotten Marx"
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, in his address, also said that there are some people in the world and in the country “who don’t want Bharat to stand again”. “They try to spread divisiveness,” he said.However, he said that those people won’t be able to dominate, adding that their new name in the world is “cultural Marxists or woke”.
“They support anarchy, corrupt education, political systems. They showed fear through exaggerated reports,” he said, adding that “This only spreads hatred”.
3.Because of our leadership, we have a.. .
Bhagwat said that there are several things happening each year which “make us proud”, citing the example of the G20 Summit. “Because of our leadership, we have a unique place in the world today,” Bhagwat said.
4."Delegates at G20 Summit in India experienced our country’s unity in diversity"
Bhagwat said, "With every passing year, the respect for Indians is increasing in the world, which we all are experiencing ourselves. When the G20 Summit was organised here (in India), the hospitality of Indians was immensely appreciated.People from different countries experienced our diversity. They saw our diplomatic skills as well as our honest goodwill. Our leadership gave India a place in the world."
5. Bhagwat cautions against attempts to garner votes by inflaming emotions ahead of elections
Ahead of the elections in the five states, Bhagwat cautioned against attempts to garner votes by inflaming emotions ahead of 2024 general elections. Bhagwat urged people to vote keeping in mind the unity, integrity, identity, and development of the country. The RSS chief also called for curbing wasteful expenditure and increasing employment opportunities in the country. "Think with a calm mind about who is good and who has done good work...The Indian public has experienced everything...Give to those who are best...," he added.
6.Were extremists across the border involved in Manipur violence?"
Speaking on the violence that had ensued in Manipur the RSS Chief called on civil society to bridge the gap of mutual mistrust. "In Manipur, when people on both sides of the conflict are seeking peace, which are these forces that are attempting to trigger hatred and violence by causing an incident as soon as any positive step is seen being taken in that direction? Multidimensional efforts will be required to solve this grave problem. To resolve this vexed problem, we would need a strong political will, concurrent actions and efficiency. Simultaneously, the enlightened leadership of the society will also have to play a special role in bridging the gap of mutual distrust that has arisen due to the unfortunate situation between the two communities"
7."World looking up to India to overcome problems"
'Country is moving forward. But while moving forward, we need to show the world. We should not follow anyone else's path. This is reflecting in our government's actions as well,' the RSS chief said urging people to recognise that India is leaving a global mark.
