These activities were part of continuous attempts to maintain peace and security, as well as to combat the rise of anti-India sentiment, which threatened to glorify terrorism.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for CI in Kashmir, "searches were conducted at five locations in the districts of Kupwara, Srinagar, Anantnag, and Pulwama to dismantle the terror ecosystem." Following a case reported at the CIK Srinagar Police Station, these activities were carried out with search warrants obtained by the Special Judge appointed under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act in Srinagar.

The issue at hand involves a long-running plot between terrorist organizations and their associates in the Kashmir valley. These people worked with remote handlers to propagate illicit information over social media sites. This information not only had seditious components, but it also attempted to propagate an anti-India narrative, glorify terrorists, and inspire and entice gullible young to join terrorist groups and take up weapons against India's sovereignty.

Preliminary investigations found that certain persons and institutions targeted those who advocated for peace, order, and a violence-free society, as opposed to separatist or terrorist ideas. These groups portrayed these people as appropriate targets for vilification and violence, issuing explicit or disguised threats to prevent them from carrying out their legal responsibilities, particularly government employees in Kashmir.

Furthermore, these anti-national elements used Facebook profiles to sow dissension and hostility among various religious and regional groups, urging youngsters to engage in widespread violence and disruptions that threatened Kashmir's peace and tranquillity.

During the operations, the search teams confiscated electronic devices and other materials pertinent to the current investigations. The collected data will be analyzed, and the leads that emerge will direct additional investigations.

These searches are part of a larger effort to deconstruct the terror ecosystem in Kashmir by identifying and eliminating forces that endanger the region's peace and security. Their operations include recruiting vulnerable kids into the fold of terrorism, and authorities are determined to take strong measures to combat this menace.
