Ahead of Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Uttarakhand offered prayers and performed a puja at Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh. Dressed in local traditional attire complete with a turban, he also played a power drum and conch shell while offering prayers at the spiritually significant Parvati Kund.
PM Modi also performed 'aarti' at the Shiva-Parvati temple situated along the banks of Parvati Kund in Jolingkong.The Prime Minister then sought blessings and meditated for a brief period in front of the Adi Kailash peak, an abode of Lord Shiva.
