Air India Incident: Police arrest accused Shankar Mishra who peed on elderly woman

It should be noted that Shankar was absconding since the matter came to light and Delhi police arrested him from Bengaluru on Friday (January 07) night. As per the reports, he will be produced before a court today.

Bengaluru, January 07: In a major development in the harrowing Air India incident, the Delhi police have finally arrested absconding Mumbai-based Shankar Mishra who urinated on an elderly woman passenger aboard a New York-Delhi Air India flight.
  
It should be noted that Shankar was absconding since the matter came to light and Delhi police arrested him from Bengaluru on Friday (January 07) night. As per the reports, he will be produced before a court today.

While giving details about his arrest, deputy commission of police Ravi Kumar, said, " Accused Shankar Mishra in IGIA case has been arrested from Bengaluru by a Delhi Police team. He has been brought to Delhi and further investigation into the case is in progress."
 
Delhi Police on Thursday had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) for the accused.
 
 
On Wednesday the Delhi Police filed an FIR on the shocking incident that took place on November 26 last year based on a complaint by Air India.The police registered an FIR in the matter under sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act. Both the accused and the victim are from outside Delhi.
 
 
 
It should be hightlighted that after the incidnet came to light, US-based financial services company Wells Fargo on Friday terminated its employee Shankar Mishra.
 
 
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has summoned Air India staff in connection with an incident.The Air India staff, including the pilot and co-pilot, were issued summons for Friday, but they didn't appear. Now, they have been summoned to the office of deputy commissioner of police (airport) at 10:30 am on January 7, the sources said on Friday.
