No one stopped Ranbir-Alia from entering Mahakaleshwar Temple: MP Home Minister informs security arrangements were made

Ujjain, Sept 8: Amid ruckus over entering Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple, Madhya Pradesh's Home Minister Narottam Mishra rules out any news which says that Bajrang Dal activists stopped them from entering temple premises.

Earlier, it was reported that Bajrang Dal activists had stopped the duo from taking blessings from Bhagwan Shiv. However, MP Home Minister cleared the air that security arrangements were made.
 
"No one stopped anyone from entering into the temple, opposition is just taking advantage of the situation just to gain some political mileage", Home Minister said. He added that in fact, there were adequate security arrangements, and the administration had requested them to go ahead with Darshan, but they returned.
 
 
Narottam Mishra said, “There was no bar for darshan. From Ayan Mukerji to everyone else who came with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, everyone had darshan. The arrangements were in place. The administration had also requested Ranbir and Alia to go for darshan, but they didn't go.”
 
According to Anurag Singh, "The Ujjain administration has briefed me about entire episode. The couple was requested by administration to go ahead for offering prayers. There was adequate security, but they decided on own to not go there. No one stopped them."

He informed that the local police in Ujjain, have booked an alleged Bajrang Dal worker, Dilip under Section 353 for getting physical with on duty cops, during protests outside the Mahakal Temple on Tuesday evening.
 
Earlier, protests took place outside Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain ahead of actor Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s visit over Ranbir's beef comment in the past.
 
Meanwhile, Brahmastra, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, will hit the cinema halls on Friday, September 9. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars actors Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. It has been backed by Karan Johar’s ‘Dharma Productions’, and down south, the film is being presented by SS Rajamouli.
